Back in the Saddle Again

I helped out with orientation on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. This year's theme 'Medical Musical' inspired our group name 'Mammarhea.' Fellow MS-2 Ang and I worked together to show the new kids around the block and even make them a spaghetti feast. On Thursday night, Baylor med students took over the second floor at Flying Saucer, a downtown bar. It was tons of fun to mix, mingle, and share summer stories.Jenn (above) and Robert had an engagement shower in Houston on Saturday. I helped host with two other bridesmaids. Eager to be productive in the kitchen, I made cheesy artichoke dip and cupcakes.I had a late-night rendezvous with Brandi, Peter, and more friends at 59 Diner... catching up over ketchup and hash browns, I guess. Classes (Cardiology and Hematology) started on Monday. Tiffany and I eased our way into the block by taking a breather tonight (Tuesday) to watch Judd Apatow's new flick 'Funny People.' I enjoyed it, but it was- and felt- really, really long.
