Last weekend, I enjoyed two magical days of splendor post-Internal Medicine and pre-neurology. I took advantage of Museum District Day by stopping by the Rice Gallery in the morning to see Sarah Oppenheimer's installation D-17, which involved a plane (the shape, but also like a jet wing) dramatically cutting through two panes of glass. It was a nice stop at one of my favorite Houston/Rice places, though truth be told, the gallery has seen better installations.Sunday, October 3, 2010
Oh, What a Beautiful Weekend!

B, that IS an extreme toiletry stash! I bet you are happy that's not taking up space in your bathroom anymore!
Wow- very comprehensive, multi-faceted post! Good trivia with the Hogg-Hanszen connection.
Becky - all of your incredible blog posts make me want to head to Houston and visit you!
Hi Becky,
My name is Swan and I'm working at Covenant House.
I'm glad to know that you enjoyed your evening at Covenant House and I would like to thank you warmly for volunteering at one of our shelters!
I was wondering if you would consider posting a banner for a few days on your blog to help us get year-end donations and keep our doors open for homeless kids.
Please let me know, my email is sbargue(at)covenanthouse.org
One again, thank you for your support!
Happy holidays!
