(Family) Love's Labor (Day)'s Lost (err...Win!)

Hopefully, the video says it all! After successfully wrapping up exams in cardiology and hematology/oncology, I made the long trek home to North Idaho. It was a true family reunion with Sarah, Paul, Sam, Mom, and Dad (+ guest appearances by Kitty cat and Arney dog and Sam's friend Graham). We wined, dined, played games, lounged on the dock, ate like kings, and even took a few family pictures. Naturally, the weekend was over far too soon... leaving me barely any time to say goodbye to my dear home on Buckskin Road, which will likely be a new family's home by the time I make it to Coeur d'Alene again. When I returned to Houston on Sunday evening, I went straight to Jones Hall downtown to hear the Houston Symphony. In their Pops Series season opener, the Symphony featured Rockapella (of Carmen Sandiego fame). Fostering my growing interest in harmonizing a cappella, the concert was a hit! I enjoyed the whole show and especially got a kick out of their encore choices: Up on the Roof (mom's favorite!) and Wonderful World (Don't know much about history...). Brandi, Peter, and I indulged in Amy's ice cream after the show. I spent Labor Day running errands, playing catchup, and chatting with Teresa over our free Chick-Fil-A sandwiches (promo for wearing sports paraphernalia). I also bought a new bike! Surely, I'll be ready for respiratory and renal tomorrow with these new wheels.

Becky - sure loved the weekend video/photo montage - it was great to see you! I'm glad that you broke down and bought a new bike. I hope the new wheels are a bit more dependable! Love, Sarah

Nice bike - boy, you don't mess around. I assume you found coupons to buy it...
