Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous?

Thursday evening Rice friend Sarah (above) and I went to the House of Blues and saw Letters to Cleo. The concert totally brought me back to high school and the movie 10 Things I Hate About You. Some may know Letters to Cleo as the band rocking out on top of the high school at the movie's end or from the dance scene when the lead singer made a guest appearance and serenaded Kat and Patrick. I almost peed my pants when they closed the concert with "I Want You to Want Me." Check out my post-concert picture with lead singer Kay Hanley (below). Yup, I'm a rockstar.Friday afternoon I hung out with Brandi in the afternoon, and she fed me some delicious pecan-encrusted Parmesan chicken (I hope I got that right) and salad with berries. Real food was so nice after a week of eating pizza, nachos, and cereal. Then in the evening I made the long trek to the Woodlands to check out Cru wine bar with my friend Jeffrey. Sarah 'veins of wine' Brehm would be so proud at my recent attempts to become a wine aficionado. On Saturday, I had to stop by the Galleria to take advantage of a Memorial Day sale on a wedding gift for Russell and Alison. Teresa tagged along, and we treated ourselves to some new pieces from Ann Taylor (above) and J. Crew. On Sunday night I finally began my move from the smaller bedroom into the master bedroom. I was able to move all the furniture myself and felt like quite a macho woman capable of independent living, hah. Now I have so much spaaaace!

Cool, cool - seeing the band from "10 Things I Hate About You" - one of my absolute favorite flicks! Love the Ann Taylor dress, and glad you took over the bigger bedroom - now you can REALLY be the Mistress of your Domain.

So what kind of wine do you like now?

Hey Becky! Thanks for the shout-out about the wine...I'm so proud to hear you are being adventuresome at wine bars. You'll totally be ready for your trip to Europe! :) Awesome that you did some rearranging in your condo. I have a list of house projects to do while Paul is gone. I just need to figure out what to do with our front guest bedroom...it is such a hodge podge of stuff right now. I hope you have a great weekend!
